Buescher State Park 12/29 and 12/30

The kids and I had a great time fishing. Well the kids fished anyway and I did my job of keeping bait on the hooks and releasing fish. Tout were hitting corn or yellow crappie nuggets fished on the bottom. Even with the dingy colored water, they were still very line shy. Perch were hitting corn and bits of hotdog. Perch bite was fast paced, but the trout seemed to hit once every 30 minutes so it was kind of slow. People were getting their 5 fish limits though, it just took a while to get it.

I did make the occasional cast of the Lake Fork swim bait, but no luck. I also threw a 3/4 oz perch colored spinner bait slow rolled with no luck. Didn't see a bass or see anyone catch a bass either day and there were a lot of people fishing around us.

I kept forgetting the camera at camp or would have had more pictures.

Last bit of info about fishing the park. No fishing license required to fish in the park because you pay the park entry fee, so you don't need to buy a trout stamp or anything special to go out there and fish.

Good Luck,
Clint
